CAN YOU HEAR ME
installation in paper, tape, rubber tubing, found objects
14 feet x 39 feet x 12 feet
Can You Hear Me was an installation running down one long wall of the Commonweal Gallery in Bolinas, CA and extending onto the floor of the large exhibition space. Loosely based on the original purpose of the building as a radio transmission station of Morse Code, it playfully references electronic infrastructure culminating in a Morse Code message, and draws existing mechanical devices such as the heating registers into the work.
