In Visitation #3, the yellow tapered shape in the center is articulated by painted strips of paper that bow out from the 2D surface, casting a yellow glow from unseen fluorescent paint on the back of the strips. The yellow hue at the center of the 3D strips matches and blends with the reflected color behind, creating a disorienting spatial effect.
